Planning starts for 2017 show

August see's the start of the planning for the 2017 show on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd April, more news to follow

We are pleased to announce that on Sunday 17th April in addition to the "Roar into the Transport Festival" by the motorcyclists we will be trialing an Exit Parade - with the exhibitors leaving the show at 4pm - the route will take them through the town along Hightown, before joining the Crewe/Middlewich Road.

The Exit Parade will include all the vehicles and bikes from the Commons car park, the High Street and the Old Hall and should be a spectacular finale to the show!

Up to 400 motorcyclists from the South Cheshire

Motorcycle Club and surrounding clubs are expected to take part in the St Luke’s Ride on Sunday 17th April with the finale being a cavalcade lead by the St Luke’s bus as they arrive at the Sandbach Transport Festival travelling up the High Street at 13.30.

The bikes and riders will then join the Festival with a

display of bikes parked down the High Street.

Sandbach Transport Festival is held over the weekend of the 16th and 17th April, with the main show area on the Commons car park:

Saturday’s show is Classic cars and motorbikes alongside new vehicles from several local dealers, with girls from the High School racing electric cars.

Sunday’s show is cars, hgv’s, buses, military and

agricultural vehicles, with the South Cheshire Motorcycle cavalcade.

On both days there will be a number of free rides for the younger visitors in Sandbach Park, a music festival on the Cobbles and several other events around the town.

The event usually attracts up to 20000 visitors and

promises to be as good as ever.

We are pleased to announce we have three new sponsors:

RK Henshall insurance brokers - local insurance specialists based in Wheelock

Carillion Kier Joint Venture - the M6 J16-19 Smart Motorway Project

Bristol Street Motors Ford, Crewe

The 2016 is a tribute to a staunch supporter and sponsor of the show, Martin Rigby, sadly no longer with us.
