The Transport Festival is very grateful to the Wheatsheaf Hotel in Hightown (next to the Natwest Bank) as they allow the committee to use their meeting room all year free of charge.
The Wheatsheaf Hotel provides great lunches from 12.00 until 14.00 on weekdays with great deals such as £4.95 for a curry including either a glass of beer or wine. There is also a daily specials board plus a “2 for £6” menu which includes steak, gammon, plaice and scampi.
There are also rooms in the Wheatsheaf Hotel - single £40, double £50 and a family room at £67.50. These prices include full English breakfast, cereal and toast with tea or coffee.
